Built Different.
Proven Every Time.
Before the championships, before the Olympic gold, before Kobe Bryant gave her that nickname — there was a kid from Lincolnwood, Illinois who simply refused to be outworked.
Jewell Loyd picked up a basketball at age five. By high school, she was the most recruited player in the country. At Notre Dame, she led the Fighting Irish to consecutive Final Four appearances and earned every major award in college basketball.
Seattle selected her first overall in the 2015 WNBA Draft — and she proved the pick right immediately. Rookie of the Year. Then All-Star. Then champion. Then the highest individual honor in women's basketball: the 2023 scoring title at 24.7 points per game.
Kobe Bryant didn't hand out nicknames casually. When he called Jewell "Gold Mamba," it meant she shared something with him — that edge, that hunger, that refusal to settle for anything less than dominance. She wears #24 in his honor.
Now with the Las Vegas Aces, Jewell is writing the next chapter. Three WNBA titles. Two Olympic gold medals. And a commitment to preparation that goes beyond the gym — starting with what she puts in her body every single day.
